I work at Benito's Pizza in South Lyon as a cashier. I have been working there for two years now and have worked my way up to learning how to do the other positions such as taking pizza out of the oven, putting toppings on the pizza, making salads, and doing the dishes. A lot of people don't realize how much work goes into a pizza business, but it has taught many working skills.I have learned how to work fast when also worrying about the quality, it has taught me communications skills through talking to all different kinds of customers: mean, nice, quiet, confused. But most importantly it has taught me responsibility because I am responsible for making sure the orders are taken correctly and the money is all accounted for.
Recently my employers complimented me on how hard and dedicated a worker I am. They love how I just get the job done fast with little to no mistakes. I think that if you have a job and if you are getting paid for it, you should try your best because there is no reason to be lazy about it, especially if you have nothing else to do.
